If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team!Vaco is a leading staffing and consulting firm that specializes in accounting and finance, technology, operations, and administration. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and act as a Senior Accountant for one of our clients, a full-service accounting firm that provides tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and wealth management services to small and medium-sized businesses.As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing financial statements according to GAAP
• Performing month-end closings, accruals, journal entries, and fixed asset registers
• Monitoring, maintaining, and forecasting client cash flows
• Preparing budgets and projections
• Updating the client's finance manuals, policies, and procedures as required
• Building strong client relationships to promote and expand the client's business
• Working with other client team members including tax department professionals when requiredTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Four to seven years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • CPA firm experience preferred
  • QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and Online Versions experience required
  • Great Plains experience required or advanced QuickBooks experience if you check all the boxes
  • Excel proficiency at an intermediate to higher level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
