Description:Bimbo Bakeries USA has as an outstanding opportunity for a Sr. Finance Manufacturing Manager for our WBU Manufacturing team located in a California bakery. Under general direction, this position provides reports and analysis designed to have a significant impact on the WBU Manufacturing Operation. The purpose of this position is to partner with Regional management to provide accurate financial analysis/reporting tools, so they can make effective operational management decisions that lead to maximum operations while minimizing cost. This position has full ownership and accountability for BBU's 7 California bakeries. Main purpose of the role is to partner with Plant Management and the Regional Vice President owning all aspects of financial operations in the region to drive the successful planning, execution, and measurement of the manufacturing operation. Focus will be both strategic and tactical to achieve lowest landed cost objectives. This position will provide leadership to Plant Finance Managers to drive major business decisions to improve operational efficiency, cost minimization and overall Business Unit profitability. This role is responsible for proactive initiation, development and execution of cost reduction initiatives and profit-improving programs. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Partner with all levels of Regional and Plant management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare operational financial reports, operational forecasts and similar financial ad hoc reports.Assist in the development and implementation of operational reporting tools in order to provide operation management timely and accurate data on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly operations.Oversee operational accounting and fixed asset transactions and proper inventory cut-off, so that operational expenditures are accurately recorded.Provide financial analysis to Financial Operations Director and Regional Vice President.Develop financial plans and forecasts by function and bakery while driving accountability, for upcoming period(s) and year(s).Ensure action plans align with financial commitments.Produce weekly and monthly reports on manufacturing key performance indicators.Manage, direct, and coordinate the monthly closing cycle i.e., updating files, numerous accruals and adjusting entries, for the WBU in order to have a timely, accurate and complete representation of our financial results.Manage and contribute to the post closing operational analysis in order to identify and evaluate variances and providing narratives on those variances.Work with bakery staff to maintain the bakery stand costs and supporting commodities and resources.Coordinating with the Director of Finance, plan, organize, direct, and control the work performed by the bakery finance teams.Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted, with a minimum of 7 years. The ability to work with minimal supervision to develop and complete a series of goals and tactics. Extensive working knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems. Oracle Experience a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage and develop others Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking (written and oral) skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and other software/applications. Maintenance of the confidentiality of any personal or company information encountered.SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE This position requires the incumbent to have in-depth knowledge of operational financial planning, analysis tools and techniques.
