Job DescriptionRuby's Diner is currently looking for experienced
Restaurant Managers to promote a safe, clean, and fun 1940's dining
experience! The Restaurant Manager will support the General Manager
in ensuring the restaurant operates within company guidelines in
meeting and exceeding sales and profitability. The Manager will
supervise, provide direction, and assist staff in all areas of the
business. Key areas of focus are customer service, sales,
marketing, product quality, service, safety, and
cleanliness.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are
not limited to:
- Ensure efficient, professional, and profitable restaurant
operation while delivering exceptional customer service to patrons
and staff.
- Work with General Manager and Human Resources to provide
progressive corrective counseling with staff, including
termination.
- Monitor staffing levels and labor costs to maximize efficiency
and control labor expense ratios.
- Take accurate monthly physical inventory to ensure high food
quality and availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, production, waste, unauthorized
"giveaways", discounts, etc., to control goods.
- Assist with scheduling and labor allocation.
- Execute restaurant goals established by the General Manager and
Director of Operations.
- Provide assistant manager with proper direction and follow up
on all assignments provided by General Manager, Director of
Operations, and Corporate staff.
- Inspect restaurants regularly ensuring established quality
standards are maintained.
- Uphold state-regulated restaurant standards and company
standards to ensure clean, efficient, friendly, accurate, and
timely service to patrons and staff.
- Follow and enforce safe food handling processes and restaurant
safety procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure
efficient operation.
- Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt
problem resolution.
- Assist General Manager with training, developing, and hiring
new hourly employees as well as maintaining proper completion and
storage of employee personnel, medical, and I-9 files.
- Completes all tasks assigned by General Manager, Director of
Operations, and Corporate staff on time.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by
Management.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Two years of management experience minimum in food-related or
concessions industry.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications such as
Microsoft Office, POS systems, timekeeping systems.
- Must be proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant
functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation,
security, Company policies and procedures, personnel management,
recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely both
orally and in writing.To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
