own farms.THE ROLEAvocado is currently looking for an Accounting
Manager (GL) to be part of the Finance & Accounting team, reporting
to the Vice President of Accounting.The ideal candidate will help
drive the success of the business by providing accurate, timely and
compliant financial reporting to guide management and operational
decision-making. Key responsibilities include preparing the
financial statements and cash flow reporting, leading the annual
audit process and managing the month-end close process.This is an
opportunity to learn different aspects of accounting and work
cross-functionally across different departments. Note on Location:

on-site at one of our Fullerton locations. Note on Pay
Transparency: As of January 1, 2023, California-based roles must
provide a pay scale on job postings. The pay range for this role is
$115,000.00 - $135,000.00 Yearly DOE.WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING
ONManage and prepare daily accounting activities to ensure
compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, company policies and
external financial and tax audits.Ownership of full cycle general
ledger financial close process and related activities to ensure
complete and accurate financials following U.S. GAAP, consolidated
reporting, preparing and reviewing close activities such as bank
reconciliations, journal entries and account
reconciliations.Prepare weekly cash flow reporting and monthly
financial reporting for management.Help improve efforts to
streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality and speed
of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.Help make decisions on
continuous development of accounting policies and standard
operating procedures and assist with system implementations or
enhancements.Partner with FP&A around monthly variance analysis
and management reporting.Performs other related duties as
assigned.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or
relevant field.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in
Accounting departments.CPA preferred.Prior public accounting
experience at a Big 4 or national firm is highly preferred.Strong
knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404/internal controls.Proven ability
to lead, delegate and mentor.Experience with Oracle NetSuite
strongly preferred.Detail oriented and analytical.Ability to
operate in a high growth, deadline driven environment.Excellent
oral and written communication skills.Full cycle accounting
experience and command of general ledger.Regular and predictable
attendance.Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a
willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to necessary
routine tasks required to complete a job.PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTSStationary position: Must be able to remain stationary
50% of the time.Move: This role involves moving throughout the
office to meet with different team members.Operate: Constantly
operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and
tablets.Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other
