The person in this role will also work indirectly with the international stakeholder/user, government agencies, and subcontractors. Internally, the senior program manager will have cross functional leadership that will include the management of the overall project, as well as support from the functional organizations. The candidate will apply disciplined program management processes and tools to maintain excellence in execution and will regularly interact with senior Raytheon leadership on strategy, program status and direction.This position is contingent upon contract award and will require travel both domestically and internationally.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sets program strategy, vision and tactical direction for program execution by multifunctional team(s) and sub-contractors.Sets milestones and monitors adherence to program master plans and schedules.Proactively identifies potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken.Supervises and integrates the performance of the program Integrated Product Teams and functional organizations.Establishes and maintains strong customer, user/stakeholder and partner relationships Responsible for regular reporting to senior leadership on program performance, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasting, monthly operating reviews (MORs) and quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs).Responsible for meeting contractual commitments including the financial, quality, technology, and schedule performance using the approved business model management tools including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), Process Re-Invention and Systems for Manufacturing (PRISM), Risk & Opportunity, etc.This position requires the eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Basic/Required Qualifications:Minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experienceBachelor---s degree in STEM or comparable degreeProgram management or related experienceAbility to influence and manage an international supplier with significant program scopeExport/Import (EX/IM) experience on an international programExperience working with EVMS, IPDS, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and/or Risk & Opportunity ManagementExperience with the defense acquisition processes for systemsAbility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (DoD) within the first year.Ability to obtain EVMS Level II Certification within a year of employment Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, about 25% of the time Desired Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in program management or related experience, preferably for command and control systems or large international integration projectsExperience with leading and managing a successful, large complex program or equivalentExperience in building and leading a multi-disciplined team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and QualityPMX Level 2/3 Certified, or ability to obtain certificationExperience working with the Middle East with the ability to build strong working relationshipsExperience working with RII to expand the program and related businessInternational subcontract management experienceExperience interfacing with Corporate Senior leadership Ability to lead by influence and collaborationStrong communication skillsAn advanced degree or MBA is desiredWhat We Offer: Whether you---re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, Raytheon offers a robust total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
