Samahan (OpSam Health) is a Federally Qualified Health Center
(FQHC) that serves the San Diego County community. Founded in 1973
in a barber shop in Downtown San Diego by Filipino health
professionals offering services to immigrants who did not have the
finances, linguistic skills, or ability to navigate the health care
system. Today, Operation Samahan has evolved into a diverse
community health center with services available in National City,
Mira Mesa, City Heights, and Rancho Penasquitos. We provide primary
care, dental, behavioral health, family planning, integrative
health and wellness, healthy eating, civic engagement, and other
health-related services to the uninsured, underinsured, and
underserved families of all income levels, regardless of their
ability to pay. JOB PURPOSE Provides individual and group therapy
as well as psycho-educational groups to underserved populations.
Licensed clinicians provide evidence-based services as part of
multi-disciplinary team that includes the PCP, psychiatrists, case
managers, medical assistants, the behavioral health director, and
other health and social service providers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Provide individual, group therapy as well as
psycho-educational groups Performs behavioral health assessments,
treatment planning Documents all services Performs peer chart
auditing Works with department operations to achieve goals Assists
clients with referrals to community-based programs Provide
culturally informed and competent services to underserved
communities Quality Management Contributes to the organization's
success by participating in quality improvement activities, taking
part in peer audits, attending appropriate QA meetings and
training, and performing job duties within the scope of practice
and in accordance with best practices in a legal and ethical

Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and

behavior or activity. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities: Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social
Worker or Licensed by the Board of Psychology as a Licensed
Psychologist Bilingual preferred Must have a high level of
organizational skills. Highly effective oral and written
communication skills. Relate to and work well with people of all
ages, social and ethnic backgrounds and maintain client
confidentiality. Work independently and as a part of a team to
inspire confidence and trust in clients and staff. Understand the
client needs as consumers of health care and focus services around
those needs. Complete many different duties, often changing from
one task to another of a different nature without loss of
efficiency or composure. Must be able to work under stress when
confronted with critical or unusual situations. Demonstrates
ability to exercise analytic ability. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Move
throughout the clinic and community. Repetitive hand movement use
and view PC. Use fax, telephone, and copier. Sits or stands for
long periods of time, reaches, bends, climbs, stoops, and lifts up
to 25lb. SALARY RANGE LMFT & LCSW $95,000-$125,000 based on
experience Licensed Psychologist $110,000-$135,000
