A long-standing, not-for-profit hospital situated along the beautiful coast in Southern California is looking for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join their level III NICU. The hospital is nationally renowned and is home to some of the best physicians and medical staff in the country.
The NICU Nurse Practitioner works closely with the nursing staff and physicians in providing a continuum of care for neonate patients with birth defects, infections, respiratory distress or born prematurely. The Nurse Practitioner NICU collaborates with care managers and family members to implement plans of care before, during and after the hospital visit.
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner provides ongoing education to the nursing team regarding the critically ill infant’s condition, treatment plan and any complications. The 50-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed by neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, NNPs will have the support of dietitians, surgeons, nursing staff and more who are specially trained to care for the tiniest of babies.
