Job Description: The Power BI Developer contributes to the value and usability of tools that enable and empower our employees and customers; by leading the design, development, testing, delivery and maintenance of user interfaces and the software that powers them. Under limited supervision, the developer must turn user requirements into highly usable interfaces that capture and present data, using Microsoft Power Platform - Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate. As a developer on the Business Process Architecture team, you must be adaptable, with the ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies as needed. You will engage with stakeholders to understand feature requests and requirements, and how those support business needs and process. You will work with teammates to create user interface components that add up to an effective user experience. The Power BI Developer applies principles and best practices of computer science and UI design. The candidate must demonstrate solid technical knowledge and critical thinking skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Use your experience to develop User Interfaces using MS Power Platform: Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate Lead efforts to design, develop, maintain, improve, test, and release software to improve the company's Tools and Systems Understand and apply best practices in all areas of MS Power Platform Review, make recommendations, and implement refactoring projects in all areas of the Power Platform Implement data integrations using standard connections and custom APIs Perform complex data transformations using Power Query (M) and DAX Develop multi-dimensional dataflows and data models (star schema, snowflake schema) to prepare and organize data for analytical consumption Fully document existing and new development areas Perform training within the team on development topics as well as to the user groups on report usage Provide guidance and technical support to the Business Process Architecture team and others in the company Recommend corrective actions for data or process deficiencies May be called on to participate in other areas within the development team Preferred Qualifications and/or Education: At least 3 year of solid experience working in a similar role on a project with Power BI Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience in a related field Advanced MS Excel skills Microsoft Power BI certification a plus Experience in all areas of Power BI implementations, including: Data Gateways, Dataflows, Development pipelines, Workspace organization, Power Query, Report generation, Error identification and resolution Familiar with advanced operators within Power BI and able to utilize them in appropriate situations (e.g., Parameters, advanced measures, advanced DAX) Some experience in business process analysis Some experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, and D365 integration Nice-to-have experience, but not required: Relational Database Systems and SQL queries o Row level security SharePoint architecture / design External access implementation (3rd party interaction of internal reports) Custom visualization development (e.g., Charticulator, Deneb, Vega-lite) Data model performance analysis and countermeasures UX / UI principles for report creation Python and R data manipulation Experience with Azure Cloud Platform Involvement with an ERP implementation Soft Skills: Ability to adapt, plan, organize and collaborate in a constantly changing environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills Must be proactive, meticulous, organized, and detail oriented Ability to efficiently resolve problems Ability to accomplish multiple tasks Ability to work independently, with minimal direction Physical demands: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms May be required to handle or feel objects, tools or controls Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus Work Environment: Office environment Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate Travel: Some local, domestic, and international travel may be required Training Curriculum: Staff Orientation Sexual Harassment Training Other programs as developed by management TekWissen Group is an equal opportunity/affirmative action Employer (m/f/d/v) supporting workforce diversity.
