Job Description:

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Applied Machine Learning) to lead development of cutting-edge systems for their mission to restore and protect the planet's forests.
Key Responsibilities:

Building and releasing new algorithms and tools to enable customers to identify and originate high-quality nature-based projects
Providing technical leadership for cross-functional projects and implementing strategies and vision for building models
Designing statistical frameworks and experiments to assess the quality of measurements and models on real-world data

Qualifications:

Experience tech leading larger cross-team engineering efforts
Experience with Machine learning and statistics at scale
Strong software engineering practices and Python programming skills
Experience working in cluster environments and understanding of distributed systems concepts
Passion for environmental sustainability and desire to make a meaningful impact on the planet
