This is a temporary full-time position meant to cover a
current leave of absence. Full medical, dental, vision, life

The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for the overall
planning and implementation of a varied activity program designed
to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Health
Center residents to include assisted living, memory care, and
Hires, educates, coaches all life enrichment team members.
Responsible for performance management and results of department
including but not limited to employee engagement and resident
Promotes STAR Core Values and Community Safety initiatives.
Develops, organizes and coordinates all activities for the
residents, utilizing the expertise of internal department directors
and community organizations to ensure all activity needs of the
residents are met.
Develops integrated care plans for residents through utilization
of personalized resident centered care
Develops and Implements policies and procedures in accordance
with State and Federal guidelines and the facilitys standard of
practice for resident care and activities departmental duties and
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of resident assessment
documentation (ie. Admission assessment, quarterly reviews,
Provides accurate information and participates as an active
member of the Quality Improvement Committee.
Actively participates in the coordination of resident care
services and evaluates the ongoing needs of the residents through
attending resident care plan meetings, rehabilitation and
resident/family meetings, departmental staff and annual policy
review meetings and monthly quality assurance meetings.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with residents,
family members, physicians, community leaders, State and Federal
surveyors, and other professionals interact.
Ensure the personal rights of each resident to fair and
equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy,
property and civil rights.
Schedules daily work assignments, supervises, and counsels
Provides training to staff members to fulfill job
Participates in the research and preparation of the department
budget, and operates the department within budget guidelines
Participates in Health Center Manager on Duty program
Performs additional work duties and responsibilities as
This position is essential to the safety of our residents and
staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee
may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual
occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing
agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive
Director, Administrator, and designee.
Minimum 2 years experience in a social or recreational program
within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in activities
program providing services to seniors.
Certified as an Activities Director
Experience and training serving those with cognitive impairment,
Experience working with Title 22 and OBRA Regulations,
including, but not limited to, Medicare, PDPM, MDS, Care Planning
and HIPPA preferred.
Additional management experience desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting for
approximately 60% of work day. Must be able to push residents
weighing generally up to 200+/- lbs. in wheelchairs. Must be able
to lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally. When lifting over 35 lbs. you
are required to ask for assistance. Occasionally push and/or pull
wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs. May
