Job DescriptionSummaryResponsible for the conduct of all
processes that are not considered electroplating operations, which
includes Lubricant Application, Chromate Processes, Dry Grit
Blasting, Deburring, Chemical Cleaning, Stripping of Metal Finishes
and Passivating. This position shall be considered the Chemical
Processing Department Entry Level Position for Trainees with little
or no training in the conduct of Chemical Process
Operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. The employee is
familiar with or gaining familiarity with the Chemical Processes as
performed in the Chemical Processing Department.2. Maintenance of
the chemical solutions within the locations specified tolerances,
as directed by Chemical Laboratory Personnel, and Unit Coordinator,
or the Team Leader3. Records the pertinent operating parameters as
required by specification, including production logs and oven
charts to document the operator controlled variable information as
required by the pertinent Process Specifications, Quality
Instructions, and Quality Forms.4. Verifies that the parts are
ready to be processed by verification of previous operation buy-off
and visual inspection in accordance with the appropriate
documentation.5. Applies the processes to fasteners in accordance
to the practices and specifications developed for use at the
facility.6. The employee shall be trained in the operation and
sufficiently familiar with the requirements as to have earned the
ability to "buy off" Chemical Process Operation that the employees
has been certified to.7. Assists the Unit Coordinator, the Team
Leader, and appropriate quality representative is the development
and improvement of application practices and procedures.8. Assists
the Unit Coordinator, the Team Leader, and appropriate quality
representative in the development and improvement of coating and
application equipment.-To perform this job successfully, an

to perform the essential functions.TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS1.
The candidate shall familiar with the use of micrometers, calipers,
plug pins, hydrometers, and other measurement equipment that may be
used in association with metal finishing operations.2. The
candidate shall have a working knowledge of the metal finishing
processes conducted within the Chemical Processing Department.
Additional training will be made available to candidates to provide
a working knowledge base as necessary. Education and/or Experience
The candidate shall have at a minimum, completed a California High
School education or equivalent. The candidate shall also have
demonstrated through examinations or observation that he/she is
familiar with the operations and tools in the preparation,
application, curing, and inspection of the solid film lubricant
coatings applied at the facility.Language Skills The candidate
shall have the ability to read and interpret documents such as
permits, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. The candidate shall also have the ability to
write routine reports and other correspondence. The candidate shall
also have the ability to speak, read, and write in
English.Mathematical Skills The candidate shall have the ability to
add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The candidate shall
also have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to
draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability The candidate shall
have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form. The
candidate shall also have ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical
Demands The physical demands described here are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be

essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is
required to walk, climb stairs, ladders, as well as using hands to
finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with
hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit.The
employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.In
some cases, the employee will be wearing a half face organic vapor
respirator during some of all of the time the employee is working
in the lubricant application area. The employee shall be capable of
passing the pulmonary function test and fit tests on an annual
basis. The employee shall also have appropriate training in the
