A company is looking for an Excess & Surplus Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
Research and develop new classes of business and assess market
viability
Review individual risks submitted by agents to determine
acceptability and pricing
Achieve production and loss ratio goals through effective book
management and marketing
Required Qualifications
Two or more years of Excess & Surplus Lines casualty underwriter
experience
Ability to assess risks and price business according to established
guidelines
Solid knowledge of current market conditions, trends, and new
products
Experience in determining customer needs and providing appropriate
solutions
