Job Description Objectives: Motivate and energize the staff to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base Prepare sales reports and sign off on their accuracy before submitting Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in reponse to competitors' changes Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as our company grows Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts Responsibilities:-- Hiring, negotiation, management and training of Brokers, Distributors & Customers with related communication of authorizations, goals, and sales targets (Yearly, Quarterly & Monthly Review Process). This is in relation to all customers in assigned geography Create presentation materials for new and existing customers, customizing specific trade stories to match the customer/audience Work with Brokers, Distributors and Customers to deliver product mix, placement, pricing, promotion schedules and distribution (logistics) goals ensuring that required steps are in sync with customer timelines and executed properly Conduct relevant market and business analysis that drive business decisions related to delivering territory business objectives Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in internal and departmental meetings that require sales function input Expand distribution of existing items as well as new item launches in all retail channel and customers Conduct monthly store audits and ride-a-longs with key Brokers and Distributors Understand competition and work with customers to ensure we are aggressive in our planning and execution Meet and exceed set objectives and goals for set-customer list and geographies Identify new sales opportunities and build a plan to target and execute Update weekly sales forecasts for customers in assigned geography Manage annual expense budgets to plan levels Manage Trade and Customer Marketing Expense via Account Review and reconcile outstanding deductions Help plan and participate in Trade Shows with accountability for attracting key customers Travel required 40% to 70% - Expense Reporting Monthly Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration required (MBA preferred) 7+ years of experience in sales management 10+ years experience in direct or outside sales (B2B--a plus) Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales and marketing director Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services Proven ability to position products against competitors Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bilingual Korean/English, Chinese a plus Proven ability ot analyze the sales performance, price structure, profit & loss simuation, etc. Consumer Food Products Industry experience with primary focus on perishable food products is required Broker and Distributor management experience Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills Understanding of P&L Statements Strong Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook skills Enthusiastic, passionate and competitive sales skills Hard driving and goal oriented Self-starter and self-motivator Decisive and proactive in issue resolution Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Strong cross-functional management capability Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
