Where You Will Work
Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division
of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and
strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and
engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial
markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the
United States split among three segments.
Summary:
Maintains electrical equipment in good condition; performs a
variety of maintenance, repair, and installation duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
--- Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits,
equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing
instruments.
--- Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, communication,
and power circuits.
--- Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other
electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter,
ohmmeter, megameter and voltmeter, testing lamp or growler.
--- Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical
equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
--- Oversees or performs complex or difficult maintenance repairs
or installations.
--- Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective
electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and
armatures.
--- Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other simple elements of
electrical systems.
--- Mounts motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position
and completes circuits according to diagram specifications, local
and national codes.
--- Measures, cuts, threads, and installs electrical conduit.
--- Pulls wiring through conduit.
--- Splices wires.
--- Connects wiring to fixtures and power equipment.
--- Installs grounding leads.
--- Performs other maintenance duties.
--- Provides training to other employees.
Qualifications
--- Electrical certificate.
--- Ability to use electrical measuring instruments.
--- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
--- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical
schematics
--- Familiarity with motor control, AC frequency drives and
PLC's
--- Proficient in the use of lathes, mills, surface grinders,
hones, band saws, hand tools and power tools.
--- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines
U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e.
'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
