Requisition ID 128567BR Date updated 11/29/2018 Lead the Fullerton Logistics shipping department team, comprised of salary, non-exempt, and bargaining unit employees, through the coordination of packaging, shipment routing, and delivery of all outbound shipments at the Fullerton site. Specific tasks involve the prioritizing of daily shipment activity, maintaining cycle time and quality related metrics, providing status updates to customers/management team, communicating with program personnel to identify upcoming shipments, lead job walks in conjunction with packaging engineer to identify task, cost, and resource requirements, support all internal and external shipping department audits, and perform routing transactions in SAP system (and various other shipping system tools). In addition to aforementioned responsibilities, this position will assist the Fullerton Site lead with additional duties including attendance at Logistics related meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews with third party Logistics providers (3PL), and employee performance related input. Identified candidate will support all company and department safety initiatives, work closely with internal Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability team (EHSS), and promote a safety first culture. Required Skills:* 6 years related experience in Supply Chain Logistics* Experience working in a dynamic environment; managing multiple priorities.* Good verbal and written communication* Microsoft Office experience with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.* Experience with SAP or equivalent business system* Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance* Strong analytical skills* U.S. Citizenship Desired Skills:* Self-Starter with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.* Team player who will be willing to take on new assignments as required.* Some knowledge of military and commercial packaging requirements is desired.* Understanding of commercial and military standard packaging requirements* Experience in shipment routing and carrier selection* Six Sigma Certification* Prior leadership/team lead role* Ability to work in a fast-paced, process oriented, customer service environment.* Certification in or experience concerning DOT 49CFR and IATA Hazardous Shipment regulations.* Experience in other Logistics related activity, including Receiving, Warehousing, and Transportation.* Third Part Logistics involvement a plus. Required Education:* Bachelor Degree (B.S. or B.A.) U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
